A very interesting recipe for chicken fillet in bacon.

I found a recipe for chicken “popsicle” on one culinary website a long, long time ago, about 5 years ago for sure. Since then I cook it very often, my men simply adore it. White meat works very well in this recipe in terms of taste and texture, but, of course, dark meat makes it much tastier. If you want to diversify your diet, try making this dish.

You can cook chicken “popsicle” in bacon either in the oven or on the grill; the second option is simply very, very tasty. By the way, you can season the minced meat to your liking; I really like adding cumin, thyme, dried garlic, etc., and you can add your favorite aromatic spices.

Prepare all the necessary products according to the list. Wash the chicken fillet under running water, dry with paper towels, trim off excess fat, peel the onion, and wash.

Ингредиенты

Chicken fillet - 2 pcs.

Onions - 0.5 pcs.

Egg - 1 pc.

Semolina (semolina, couscous) - 1-2 tbsp.

Salt - to taste

Pepper, h.m. - taste

Bacon - 40 g

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

1. Cut the fillet into large pieces, chop the onion, put everything in a blender, and grind into minced meat.

2. Transfer the minced meat into a deep bowl.

3. Add semolina or couscous, they will absorb excess water from the minced meat, add egg, salt and pepper to taste.

4. Knead the minced meat into a homogeneous mixture, give the semolina time to swell. Place the minced meat in the cold for 30 minutes.

5. With wet hands, divide the minced meat into portions, then thread it onto wooden skewers in the form of kebabs, wrap a strip of bacon along the entire length of the kebab. You can wrap the chicken “popsicle” completely in bacon, or you can wrap it lightly, in which case one strip of bacon will be enough. Now the chicken kebabs in bacon need to be placed in the freezer for 30 minutes, so they will keep their shape well. After a while, grease the foil with vegetable oil, cover a baking sheet with it, place the chicken “popsicle” on it and bake at 200 degrees under the top grill for 30 minutes.

6. Serve the finished bacon-wrapped chicken popsicle with your favorite side dish or fresh vegetable salad.
