A very tasty and satisfying dish that is suitable for breakfast or as a second dish for lunch.

Many times I came across recipes with cannelloni pasta on the Internet and had a strong desire to try it, but no matter how much I searched, I didn’t come across them. On my last trip to Tunisia, my daughter and I went to a local shopping center to look at groceries, and suddenly I saw packs of cannelloni. Of course, I immediately took them to prepare a tasty and satisfying dish at home.

Cannelloni - 250 g

Minced meat - 450-500 g

Onion - 1 pc.

Tomatoes - 400 g

Sunflower oil - 50 ml

Garlic - 3 cloves

Hard cheese - 150 g

Salt, pepper - to taste

Bechamel sauce:

Butter - 50 g

Milk - 1 l

Flour - 3 tbsp.

Salt, pepper - to taste

1. To prepare cannelloni with bechamel sauce, prepare the necessary products from the list.

2. Heat the sunflower oil. Finely chop the onion and garlic, fry until the onion is golden brown.

3. Add minced meat to the pan and fry until all the liquid is gone.

4. Then add diced tomatoes to the minced meat. You can use fresh tomatoes in season, the main thing is to blanch them. In my version - tomatoes in their own juice. Along with the tomatoes, add salt, pepper and aromatic herbs if desired.

5. Mix the minced meat and cook until the excess juice has evaporated. The minced meat should not be liquid. Leave the finished minced meat to cool.

6. Now we will prepare the bechamel sauce. To do this, melt the butter in a saucepan, add flour and mix well. Remove from heat.

7. Add a little milk and grind the flour well so that there are no lumps left.

8. After this, return the sauce to the heat and gradually add the remaining milk, stirring continuously so that no lumps form. At the end, add salt and pepper to the sauce. The consistency of the sauce should be like thick sour cream.

9. Fill the cannelloni with the cooled minced meat. There is no need to stuff it very tightly, as the cannelloni may burst.

10. Pour a third of the sauce into the baking dish and arrange the cannelloni.

11. Then grease them with sauce on top, lay out another layer and pour all the remaining sauce on top. Sprinkle the top with grated cheese.

12. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the cannelloni with bechamel sauce for 30-40 minutes, until golden brown on top.

13. Cut the cannelloni while hot and serve in portions.
