Parents, of course, want their child's food to be varied and tasty. But acquaintance with some products is still better to postpone.

The gastrointestinal tract of the child is formed gradually. If at the beginning of life the only food for a baby is mother's milk (or a milk formula similar in composition), then at 4-5 months, various purees and liquid cereals can already be introduced into the baby's diet.

As the child grows and matures, more nutrients are required (because motor activity increases and thought processes become more complex - thus, more energy is expended). A preschool child can already be transferred to the "common table", but this should be done with caution - it is better not to give some products to children under the age of seven:

A dry breakfast is a source of fast carbohydrates, after which the feeling of fullness quickly disappears, and fatigue appears instead of a boost of energy. Instead of cereal or muesli, it is better to cook porridge - any of them (except semolina) has a lot of protein and fiber.

Undoubtedly, children need cottage cheese - the main source of calcium and protein. But in curds, in addition to it, a huge amount of sugar and taste stabilizers. Such a carbohydrate load on a growing body in the future can lead to problems with the gastrointestinal tract. It is better to give children ordinary cottage cheese, in which, if desired, you can add a little sugar or honey.
